Aput apparently means "snow on the ground". I don't have any clue how I got it as a nickname, but I did, and now I'm stuck with it. My real name is Hafidz, and I am a Muslim.
And yes, I am gay, and I do have a boyfriend (and a few ex-es).
I'm interested in politics, both national and international, and writing, which, can be seen if you read this blog.
I also have a column on the Malaysian online news portal, The Malaysian Insider.
I also used to write for two more websites, The Nut Graph (until they stopped paying me due to financial woes) and The Cicak (until the editors in charge got too busy and abandoned it like any other Malaysian project).
