Dear UMNO...
Dearest UMNO MPs,
Allow me to point out my displeasure with your statements in Parliament, especially the recent comment by the MP of Maran during Wan Azizah's question.
I quote:
"From your speech, I hear nothing good about this country. There is not a word of thank you. If Malaysia is that bad, then relocate to another country. I am upset to hear what you have to say"
Why is it that UMNO cannot actually argue things in Parliament in a rational manner?
Where is all this "you don't like, you get out of the country" message coming from?
Was it a standing order issued out to UMNO members during your yearly general assembly?
Badruldin Amiruldin did this. Noh Omar did this. And now, Ismail Abdul Mutalib is doing the same thing.
I'm surprised to be saying this, but Khairy gives better feedback and comments than you, and he's a parliamentary greenhorn!
He brought up that most of what Wan Azizah mentioned were policies put forth by Anwar Ibrahim in the 1990s. A good point to be brought forth, but irrelevant.
This just shows that the government has spent the last 18 years or so not fixing up the issues, but just letting it slide through. And now that the ex-TPM's wife brings it up, they use it to nail her.
Which brings up the question: Is Wan Azizah her husband's keeper?
Then you had the MP from Pasir Salak who said that Wan Azizah's statement on the NEP only benefited a small group of Bumiputeras was "unislamic".
The NEP is not even a religious agenda. How can her statement be unislamic?
Again with the irrationality.
UMNO, either buck up or lose the next majority.
And leave Shahrir, Shabery Cheek and Mohamed Aziz alone. Those are the good ones you have.
