Dear Mom,
For the many failed efforts of trying to teach me fiscal responsibility.
For the many discussions about my foul language in my blog entries.
For the many nags on how I should keep my feet off the coffee table.
For the many times you prepared breakfast which was only eaten at lunchtime (along with lunch).
For the many times you cleaned out my room, only to find it messy again after two hours.
For the many arguments over Khairy Jamaluddin, of all people.
For the many times you condoned me referring to Papa as JAIS (the religious council)
For the many times you looked away as I lit up a cigarette last week.
Happy Mother's Day for the past quarter of a century (at least for me).
It's a never-ending list, mind you...

As a mom, I know it's hard to remember to tell your kids about all the stuff they are doing right, and how proud of them you are.
But it's always there.
